BGM Introduction


Hello everyone and welcome back to our new devlog. Now, in the last devlog we've already told you that we will bring an immersive action platformer gameplay and we believe one of the elements that important to do is the BGM.

BGM is used to communicate aspect of the narrative, convey emotion, and enrich the experience of the player. Music may also affect the decision-making of the player in game. For example, in term of communicating, music can communicate information as simple as winning a level or a game over or even communicate the player if he/she has reach the boss room. Music can become even more memorable than the game itself. 

So, based on the statement above, we want to create BGMs in this game that will bring an immersive gameplay, enrich our player experience, show the atmosphere of each stages that player will face, and lastly we want our music become unforgettable to our player. For the music in this game, we will create them with chiptune-style music. The music itself will also be low-fi and electronic with soothing ambients. Each of our music will describe the environmets that the player will face through the game. Whether it will be intense boss fight battle music or the stages.

The software that we used to create the BGMs is FL Studio. We use this software because the software itself is easy to use and it contains many plugins and sfx that we'll need to create our music. So, this is the end of our devlog and stay tune with us each week to know more detail information of our development.
